Harvey Kanz is an eccentric recluse who lives on Starslope Road. He claims to be an inventor of some sort. His unkempt house has been ground zero for various mishaps and annoyances to neighbors. A lifelong resident of Starslope Road, Harvey Kanz has been called "Greybeard" by locals for as long as anyone can remember. After spending years alone in his house, apparently hiding from the world, Harvey has recently become a bit more social and active in the community. He seems quite proud of his chocolate chip cookie recipe.

Rebecca “Becca” Beckin was the daughter of town founder Bradford Beckin. She died of unknown causes in her late teens in the early 1900s. Her ghost is rumored to appear in the Beckinfield Public Library just prior to disastrous events in Beckinfield. She seems to prefer the classics section.

Legend has it that town founder, Bradford Beckin, had promised to reveal a deep dark secret concerning the history of the town once he was lying on his deathbed. Unfortunately, he never made it to his deathbed. Bradford died instantly while working in his cornfield in 1894, the apparent victim of a freak lightning strike. There were no witnesses and his secret went with him to the grave. This cautionary tale has led to the town tradition of the Founder's Day Secrets, when everyone tells one secret on the anniversary of Bradford's death. He had one child -- a daughter whom he called "Becca."

In January of 2011 Dr. Walzkowski, Dr. Salmore and Dr. Garcia were allegedly hired by the Beckinfield School Board to teach science at Beckinfield High School. Experts in the field of paranormal studies, the three doctors have been spotted doing research throughout Beckinfield.

Identical looking duplicates of the three science teachers appeared shortly thereafter. These three duplicates now coach the junior high soccer team, where they are known as Coach Blondie, Coach Baldy and Coach Garcia respectively. Coach Blondie has opened her own coffee shop called, “Blondie’s.”

In October of 2011 Beckinfield High School principal Martha Collins announced the addition of six more science teachers to the staff. The apparent leader of the new group of scientists is Dr. Kippart, a striking red-haired woman. All six (three men and three women who seem to only dress in black business suits) spend time around town, but no one has seen them on school campus.

The Puppies is the Beckinfield Junior High School coed soccer team. They practice and play on a field that was once a cornfield owned by town founder Bradford Beckin. Bradford died of a freak lightening strike in that very field. The January earthquake caused a giant fissure to appear in the field, but the team continues to practice on the part that is undamaged. The team has not been successful in kicking any balls into the goal nets during practice. No matter how carefully executed, most kicks seem to go wild.
